Surf Lessons and Surf Camps in Athens and the Western Peloponnese, Greece

Kyma Surf School is based in Athens and open all year round. Lessons happen at Vouliagmeni, Varkiza and other locations around Greece, picked according to where the best conditions are on the day. The school runs group sessions, private sessions, student sessions, surf camps, surf trips and equipment rental.

Group sessions last 1.5 hours and include equipment. Surfers are grouped by level, with a maximum of seven students per instructor. Private sessions also run 1.5 hours with equipment included. Students in Greece can book a session for 30€ on presentation of a student card or other university document.

Surf camps run three to four times a year, each in the western Peloponnese. The school books a hotel in front of a beach with good learn-to-surf conditions. Day trips to the western Peloponnese are arranged when conditions are ideal, with transport from Athens in the surf van or the option to come in your own vehicle.

Carver sessions are an hour long and take place in a skatepark, with equipment and protection included. They cover carver training, an introduction to surf movements, and work on improving surf movements and technique. They suit all levels and can be booked privately for 30€ or as a group of up to five for 20€.

Equipment rental is available separately: a surfboard and wetsuit for 2 hours is 30€, a full day 40€, three days 90€ and five days 150€. A surfboard alone is 20€ for 2 hours, 30€ for a full day, 60€ for three days and 120€ for five days. A wetsuit alone is 15€ for a full day, 30€ for three days and 40€ for five days.
