The booking form is the clearest picture of how this works: you choose an arrival date, a departure date, a pitch type, the number of adults and the number of children, and whether you're arriving with a camper, caravan, minivan or tent. So this is a campsite-based surf and yoga camp rather than a hotel retreat. You bring your own accommodation on wheels or stay in one of the on-site cabins, and the surf and yoga programme runs from the same base.
Mornings revolve around the surf. Groups get split by level, with beginners taken through the basics in the whitewater and more experienced surfers taken out the back or to a different break depending on the swell. Boards and wetsuits are provided, so you don't need to haul your own kit. Sessions usually run a couple of hours and are timed around the tide.
Afternoons are largely free. Most people surf again, head to the beach, drive into the nearest town for coffee and groceries, or rest. Yoga is scheduled later in the day, either in a studio space or outside when the weather allows — the point is to stretch out shoulders, hips and lower back after time in the water.
Because children are booked alongside adults, families travelling in a camper or caravan are a natural fit here. Kids can join the beginner surf sessions. The site has the usual campsite facilities, plus the surf school infrastructure: board storage, wetsuit drying, outdoor showers and somewhere to rinse off after the sea.
What separates this from a generic surf hostel is that the accommodation is your own pitch or an on-site cabin, so the cost structure is different — you're paying for a spot and the surf and yoga programme rather than a hotel room. That also means more flexibility on how long you stay, since arrival and departure dates are set by you rather than by fixed retreat weeks.
