Home › Retreats › Tantra Foundation Week in the Belgian Ardennes: Yoga, Breathwork and Conscious Relating
Ardennes · 7 days
The programme is structured rather than free-form. Across the week you cover tantra philosophy as a life path, energy work and the chakra system, tantra yoga techniques and practice, a range of meditation exercises and breathwork, tantric rituals and ceremonies, ecstatic dance and conscious movement, and tools for navigating intimate relating. Each of these is taught as an introductory module, so the week assumes no prior experience.
The teaching is paired with self-analysis: the programme explicitly asks the questions "Who am I?" and "Why am I here?", and works through awareness of the self, the senses, emotions and body. There are in-depth lectures and exercises alongside the movement and meditation sessions, and daily evening activities. Question-and-answer sessions are built into the schedule so you can raise things as they come up.
What distinguishes this from a general yoga or wellness week is the focus on intimate relating and tantric practice, taught within a group community. The page describes an "authentic and fun Tantra community where you can be yourself, relax and celebrate life", and the week is pitched as the Level 1 Foundation of a longer tantra programme, so it functions as an entry point rather than a standalone holiday.
Groups are deliberately small to keep the teaching workable. The week also connects you to an international community of people who have done the same programme, which matters if you intend to continue with the Level 1 material or go further.
The setting is Château Frandeux, a château estate in the Ardennes. The page lists accommodation across the Château itself, the Écurie (stable) and the Boulangerie (bakery), with separate rates for each. The estate has grounds to walk in, and the programme includes peaceful walks and treks in the surrounding natural landscape. Meals are cooked on site, organic and vegetarian, with Ayurvedic options.
