Home › Retreats › Tuscan Hills Wellness Retreat: Sunrise Yoga, Strength Training & Farm-to-Table Living
Tuscany · 7 days · From EUR 273
A typical day starts at 7:30 with yoga — usually on a hilltop pavilion or an outdoor deck depending on the season — followed by a long breakfast. Mid-morning, you choose: a guided countryside hike, a fitness session (strength, core, mobility work), or free time. Lunch is at the estate. Afternoons bring a second yoga class, and on some days a wine tasting, olive oil tasting, or an alignment workshop instead. Dinner is a slow farm-to-table affair, often outdoors, and the evening winds down early because mornings start early.
The retreat the site calls their signature option, "Ready-to-Flow", is the one most people book: daily yoga and strength work, guided hikes, and the food programme, available as 4, 5, or 7-night stays starting from €342 per night. But they also run themed weeks — a Yoga & Horse Riding retreat from €348 per night that pairs morning yoga with rides through the countryside, and a Yoga & Pamper week from €294 per night with restorative yoga and massage. There's also a Yoga, Fitness & Culture week from €273 per night that leans more into local outings.
The estate is a real farm: 50 hectares of green hills, olive groves, and vines, with organic olive oil and their own red wine produced on site. Meals are cooked here, and much of what's on the plate is grown or raised on the property — including Maremmano cattle that graze the estate. They know their suppliers by name and lean on "0 Km" ingredients, especially in-season fruit and vegetables.
The team is small and hands-on. Alix is the founder — the site describes her as "the heart behind Tuscan Fitness" — and there are dedicated yoga instructors and retreat coordinators. Reviews consistently mention being met at the train station by Levi and welcomed "like family," which tells you something about the operation's style: personal, unhurried, and logistics-first.
Getting there is straightforward. Fly into Florence (FLR) or Pisa (PSA); Florence is the most direct, Pisa has more international connections. From either, take a train to Montevarchi-Terranuova, where a complimentary shuttle runs to the retreat twice a day (13:00 and 15:00 on arrival days, 12:30 and 14:30 on departure days) — about a 15 minutes' drive. They ask for your arrival time in advance so they can plan around it. Transfers from the airports can be arranged.
Groups are intentionally small: typically 10–18 guests. That keeps sessions personal and lets the team adjust to different fitness levels — so it works whether you're a regular gym-goer or you haven't done a downward dog since 2019.
