Two-Night Yoga and Wellness Break at Hotel TANNECK in the Allgäu

The schedule is built around four yoga sessions across the two nights, led by Dennis Gerth. Between sessions you have the run of the hotel's bathing and sauna area. A joint hike is offered as an optional extra, and so is a meditation session — neither is compulsory, and the package is designed so you can skip them and stay in the spa instead.

Meals come from the hotel kitchen: balanced vitality food plus international dishes from the regular menu. The package price covers the food as part of the arrangement.

What separates this from a generic spa weekend is the fixed yoga programme with a named instructor and the fact that it's a proper four-star hotel with a full wellness area, not a dedicated retreat centre. You're a hotel guest with a yoga schedule attached, which means normal hotel comforts and normal hotel service alongside the classes.

Hotel TANNECK sits in the Allgäu, the southern German region of rolling green hills, dairy farms and Alpine foothills. The hotel lists highlights of the surrounding area on its site, and the optional group hike is the obvious way to see some of it. Bad Wörishofen, the spa town associated with the hotel's phone area code, is the nearest well-known spa destination.

Two practical notes from the hotel: building work behind the hotel is scheduled from 2 November to around 5 December, with noise possible from 07:30 including Saturdays, and the hotel closes for its annual break from 24 to 31 January. Neither overlaps the yoga dates listed, but check before booking anything adjacent.
