Wellness Escape with Daily Spa Treatments in the Dolomites

Wellness Escape with Daily Spa Treatments in the Dolomites

South Tyrol · 5 days · From USD 1654

The Zest Spa & Wellness Retreat runs across five days and four nights at Preidlhof, a privately owned wellness resort in Naturno, South Tyrol. It's aimed at adults (16 and over) who want a stretch of genuinely uninterrupted relaxation, and it's structured so that the only fixed points in your day are your treatment slot and mealtimes. The rest is yours.

Each day includes a Zest session of around 110 minutes plus 20 minutes, led by a spa therapist who tailors the products to you. The session breaks down into a sensorial body scrub, a mud wrap or mud massage, and a body aroma massage. The scrubs come in jasmine, chocolate, fruit, Mediterranean, or Alpine varieties; the mud can be therapeutic volcanic, slimming, or detoxing, applied partially or over the whole body; and the massage oils are drawn from aromatherapy, color-therapy, or Ayurveda ranges. You can book a standalone thermal bath with concentrated essential oil mixes if you want more.

The retreat is based on a four-night stay with three days of treatments, leaving arrival and departure days free. A typical day starts with breakfast from 7:30 to 9:00, followed by a yoga class from 9:00 to 9:45. Lunch runs from noon to 3:00 PM, and your Zest session is usually scheduled mid-afternoon between 3:00 and 4:00. The hotel also runs a sauna infusion at 5:30 PM before dinner.

What makes this different from a standard spa break is the consistency. Three full treatment days in a row means the effects build rather than just offering a one-off massage. The therapists are trained in multiple product lines, from Ayurveda to color therapy, and they're specialists in what they do rather than generalists. Preidlhof is not a yoga or retreat center in the traditional sense, and the program reflects that: no group chanting or structured workshops, just treatments, food, and the hotel's extensive wellness facilities.

The resort itself is multi-award-winning and has been run by the Ladurner family for two decades. Klaus Ladurner has steered it toward a preventative and medical health focus, with twelve transformational wellness programs on offer. For this retreat, you're getting the spa and food side of that expertise without the medical testing or long health consultations.

Location-wise, you're in Naturno near Merano, with the Dolomites as a UNESCO World Heritage backdrop. The climate is mild, Mediterranean vegetation gives way to alpine pastures higher up, and the Parcines waterfalls are five minutes away. If you want to move, there's hiking, cycling, forest bathing at Lake Vernago, and a full schedule of inclusive fitness classes. But nothing is mandatory.
