Wellness & Nature Retreat at Kea Retreat, Greece

Greece · 7 days · From EUR 2400

Kea Retreat is a boutique property on Psathi Bay, on the quiet side of Kea. The setting is a stone mountain range on one side and a remote bay on the other — no neighbouring resorts, no traffic noise, just the farm and the water. The buildings are restored Kathikies, traditional Greek stone houses that have been converted into seven private suites overlooking the Aegean.

The daily rhythm is simple. You wake early for silent meditation and a yoga practice, eat breakfast, and then have the bulk of the day to yourself. Lunch and dinner are cooked on site, using produce from the retreat's own vegetable garden, olive grove and vineyard, plus whatever comes in from local farmers. Evenings tend to stretch out — the retreat describes them as ending with dancing and Greek music on the terrace.

The retreat is led by Marisel Douzeni, who hosts the October 2026 week. The programme is built around meditative practice rather than intense exercise, so it suits people who want to move gently and have time left over. If you're looking for two sessions a day plus conditioning work, this isn't that.

What separates this from a generic Greek island yoga week is the property itself. It's a working farm on a protected natural reserve, and the food you eat is largely grown a few hundred metres from your table. The farm uses traditional Greek planting methods, and the kitchen combines that produce with high-end cooking.

The hotel has been featured by Vogue and other international publications as one of the best boutique hotels in Greece — a beachside retreat that 'distills the essence of a Greek island'. That reputation means the week is more comfortable than most yoga retreats: proper suites, good linen, well-cooked food.

Getting there is straightforward. Kea is reached by ferry from Lavrio, the port near Athens airport, and the crossing takes roughly an hour. The retreat sits on the far side of the island at Psathi Bay, well away from the main port town.
