Rishikesh · 7 days · From USD 1150
Mornings begin before the heat sets in. The day opens with pranayama and a Vinyasa practice, followed by a shared breakfast and a mid-morning workshop that rotates through the week: Alignment & Anatomy, Thai Yoga Massage, and Philosophy in Practice. Afternoons are left free for a leisurely lunch, wandering Laxman Jhula, or sitting by the Ganga before a Yin Yoga session wraps up the practice day. Evenings are spent together over dinner.
Three days of the week are dedicated to sacred excursions. On day three, the group walks ten minutes to Parmarth Niketan for the Ganga Aarti fire ceremony—chanting, flames, and flowers set on the river at dusk. On day four, an early departure before sunrise takes you up to Kunjapuri Temple, 1,676 meters above sea level, for panoramic Himalayan views and chai as the sun comes up. On day six, the retreat travels to Devprayag, where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers meet to form the Ganga—one of the Panch Prayag pilgrimage sites.
The retreat opens with a welcome circle and kirtan ceremony on arrival night and closes with a closing ceremony and farewell dinner on the final evening. It's a bookend of reflection around a week of practice. This is not a resort experience—accommodation is comfortable but simple, and the focus is on connecting with where the yoga tradition actually comes from.
Ankit has a Bachelor's and Master's in Yogic Science from Himalayan Garhwal University and has taught internationally for eight years. Hannah is a Yoga Teacher, Holistic Health Coach, and Stress Management Trainer who trained in Rishikesh. Together they bring a grounded, anatomy-informed approach to teaching that's practical and respectful of the tradition. The small group size (4-15 participants) means you'll get plenty of individual attention.
