Home › Retreats › Wild Nature Lake Swimming & Yoga Retreat in Abruzzo
Lazio · 4 days · From USD 440
The retreat runs for four days and three nights, with yoga every morning at 8:00 followed by breakfast. After that, the schedule flexes based on what you and the other guests want to do. On offer are guided hikes into the Abruzzo National Park — trails lead to a waterfall, a gorge, and mountain summits — plus swimming in a cold lake nearby, and walking meditation. In the afternoon there's an optional yoga class with a different style, so you can try something new if you want.
The farm itself is a working organic farm, run by the family of your host Antonello. They grow Mediterranean fruits and vegetables and use them in the meals. The farm also hosts volunteers and other retreats, so there's a community feel to the place. Reviewers often mention the warmth of the staff and the easy atmosphere.
Your host Antonello is a 500-hour yoga teacher who trained in India and Thailand and also teaches pranayama, meditation, and yoga philosophy. He grew up on the farm and knows the area's trails well. Other teachers like Ana and Michael may lead some sessions — Ana is known for her reiki and restorative yoga, and Michael brings a background in tantra and yoga.
The location is a real highlight: you're on the edge of Abruzzo National Park, one of Italy's most beautiful protected areas, and within walking distance of the town of Sora. The farm is reachable by bus from Rome or Naples in under two hours, so it's easy to get to even without a car. Guests love the mix of structured activity and free time, and the chance to connect with nature and like-minded people.
