Women's Circle Yoga & Wellness Retreat in Costa Rica

The retreat is built around the idea of women gathering in circle — sharing stories, holding space for each other, and slowing down enough to actually rest. Each morning follows a similar rhythm: a self-guided walking meditation at 7:00, a seated sitting practice, then a two-hour gentle flow yoga class led by Irena. The style draws on her Ashtanga background but it's taught gently and adapted to whoever is in the room. Complete beginners and experienced practitioners both fit in.

After brunch, the day opens up. You can take the private path down to Playa Azul, read by one of the saltwater pools, or book an optional treatment. The on-site options include a traditional herbal steam detox and sound healing sessions. Further afield, there are national parks with volcanoes and hot springs, surfing beaches, and horseback riding along the coast. On the final day, there's an optional sensual photography workshop with Inés Prelovsek — a female-only session exploring your body as art, with a one-on-one session and five edited portraits included.

The property itself is part of the experience. Rancho De Linda sits on a cliff directly above the beach, with gardens, two pools, and a shaded open-air yoga deck that faces the ocean. It's simple but comfortable — air-conditioned private rooms, high-speed wifi, and attentive staff. The area is one of Costa Rica's Blue Zones, which means the local culture is already built around the kind of slow, nature-connected living this retreat encourages. It's secluded enough that you really do unplug, but with enough optional activities to keep things interesting.
