Women's Off-Road Motorbike Adventure Through Northwest Vietnam

The route covers roughly 1,200 kilometres of northwest Vietnam's most dramatic landscapes. Days begin around 8am and typically wrap up by 6pm, with one free afternoon built in on day three. The riding itself changes constantly — one hour you're on smooth tarmac winding through valleys, the next you're picking through a rutted dirt track between villages, and then you're splashing through a shallow stream crossing before climbing into cloud-covered mountain passes.

Key stops include the tea plantations around Moc Chau, where the hills roll away in neat green rows; the Dinosaur Spine at Ta Xua, a narrow ridge that juts out above the clouds and is one of the most photographed viewpoints in northern Vietnam; and the rice terraces of Mu Cang Chai, which cascade down the mountainsides in curved steps. The route also passes through Son La, Nghia Lo, Mai Chau, and the Pu Luong nature reserve.

What sets this apart from other Vietnam motorcycle tours is that it's women-only. The riding group is small — typically five riders plus Hamid and his support team (Lam, Ali, and Duc). The team handles logistics, bike maintenance, and any roadside issues, so you can focus on the riding. Past guests have noted that Hamid actively teaches riding techniques along the way, and several have said their skills noticeably improved by the end of the week.

The villages you pass through are mostly H'mong and Thai communities, many of them remote enough that the arrival of a small group of women on dirt bikes is an event in itself.
