Costa Rica · 4 days · From EUR 1073 (indicative)
Each day opens with a movement activation, then moves into workshops tied to the sacred elements. The host's sample day runs: movement, a waterfall excursion with natural spa and beauty rituals, lunch at Sonora (organic farm to table), free time, integration and guided journaling, dinner, then a fire initiation ceremony. Every day includes two to three workshops plus the chance for an adventure in nature, and the programme is different each day.
What's on the schedule across the stay: a Fire Goddess Initiation, Silk Fans Goddess Dance, tantric initiation, sensual embodiment work, feminine healing ceremonies and rituals, and nature adventures. There is also 1:1 coaching and somatic practice built into the programme, and guided journaling used to work through what comes up. The host describes the approach as mixing ancient practices with dance and joy.
What separates this from a general yoga week is the format: it is women only, capped by the size of the house, and led throughout by one facilitator rather than a rotating teaching team. Javiera has facilitated women's circles for nearly ten years, began as a Reiki practitioner 12 years ago, has led DMT ceremonies for the past seven years and recently trained as a feminine embodiment healing practitioner. She also works with tropical herbalism and feminine medicine.
Finca Fuego sits on Playa Chiquita, a short way along the coast from Puerto Viejo. The beach is in front of the property and the land turns to jungle behind it, with 100-year-old trees and the noise of animals through the day. The Caribbean side of Costa Rica has a strong Afro-Jamaican influence, and Puerto Viejo is still a fishing town at heart.
Practical shape of the trip: check-in is 15:00 and check-out 11:00. Airport transfers are not included. From Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) you can take a public bus (about $15, four to five hours via Mepe from San José) or the host can organise a shared shuttle for $75 one way, roughly three to three and a half hours. A 13% Costa Rican tax is not included in the price.
