Women's Reformer Pilates & Countryside Reset in the Cotswolds

Women's Reformer Pilates & Countryside Reset in the Cotswolds

United Kingdom · 3 days · From EUR 576

The retreat runs from Wednesday evening to Friday afternoon, so you only need to take a couple of days off. Check-in is at 6pm on Wednesday, and you start with a welcome drink, a welcome circle to share what you want from the weekend, and dinner. After that, it's hot tub, fire pit, or journaling if you fancy it.

Thursday is the fullest day. You wake up with tea or coffee, go for a gentle walk in the countryside, then have breakfast back at the house. After breakfast, the group heads to a nearby reformer Pilates studio for an uplifting session. You come back for lunch, then there's a guided creative workshop in the afternoon. Dinner is a shared affair, and the evening winds down with gentle guided movement, more hot tub time, and conversations by the fire.

Friday is shorter. You have one last breakfast together, then return to the studio for a closing Pilates session. From there, you visit an on-site wood-fired sauna and cold plunge that looks out over the countryside. The retreat finishes with a closing circle before goodbyes around 2pm.

The food is seasonal vegetarian, with hearty but light dishes. Think homemade fig jam and warm bread at breakfast, and generous shared plates at dinner that use autumn produce. There's an optional glass of wine if you want one. They cater for dairy-free, egg-free, gluten-free, halal, kosher, vegan and vegetarian diets.

What makes this different from a bigger retreat is the size. With only eight guests, it's easy to have real conversations and not feel lost in a crowd. The combination of reformer Pilates in a proper studio, a creative workshop, and access to a sauna and cold plunge is specific and well put together. The host, Steph, is a reformer Pilates teacher who focuses on making the practice feel welcoming, especially for people who have never used a reformer before. She gives clear guidance and plenty of options so you never feel out of your depth.

The location is Bourton-on-the-Water in the Cotswolds, a village known for its low bridges over the River Windrush and golden stone buildings. The retreat house is in the peaceful countryside nearby, with quiet lanes and big skies right outside. You'll need to get there yourself—the nearest train stations are Moreton-in-Marsh and Cheltenham Spa, and they can pick you up from the station. Drivers come via the A429 or A40. Bristol Airport is about an hour away by car, but transfers aren't included.
