Rishikesh · 6 days · From USD 344
The program is built around Yin Yoga's core idea: that long, passive holds work on the body's deeper tissues, while Yang styles like Vinyasa build heat and muscle. You won't spend six days just lying in poses, though. Mornings start with pranayama and meditation, then move into workshops that break down everything from meridian theory to how joints actually move. Expect to learn the names and benefits of around twenty-five Yin asanas — Caterpillar, Dragon, Saddle, Snail, Shoelace — and to practice teaching them to your fellow students. There are daily feedback sessions where you'll learn how to cue a pose clearly and adjust people safely. The syllabus covers Yin philosophy and the connection between classic yogic ideas and the Taoist map of meridians and elements. There's also time for self-inquiry exercises, so the training feels personal rather than purely academic. At the end, you'll receive a certificate of completion and a manual to take home. Rishikesh itself shapes the experience — being in the Yoga Capital of the World, surrounded by the Himalayas and the Ganges, you feel the weight of the tradition you're studying.
