Home › Retreats › Yoga and Beach Week at Almyros, Corfu
Greece · 7 days
A typical day starts with a yoga session before breakfast. Breakfast is a Greek buffet — the kind of spread that keeps you full through a morning swim — and then there is free time until the second yoga session later in the day. Five of the seven dinners are Greek vegetarian, cooked for the group. One day is set aside for an excursion: either a mountain tour or a boat trip, depending on the week.
The retreat is run by Alice and Hara, who appear throughout the guest reviews as the people who hold the week together. Guests describe a flexible service that adapts to what the group actually wants rather than sticking rigidly to a printed timetable. One visiting teacher wrote that she could teach wherever, whenever and whatever she wanted, with the consent of the group — the team took care of food, lodging and activities so her only job was teaching.
The villa is a Corfiot property right beside Almyros beach. Guests describe the location as the best part: beach on the doorstep, sunset views every evening, and plenty to do locally. The team gives recommendations on where to eat, drink and go out in the area.
Almyros sits near Acharavi on Corfu's north coast, about 40 minutes from Corfu town by car. The beach is long and shallow, with tavernas along the front. It is quieter than the resorts in the south of the island.
Each week is capped at 14 guests. October weeks have run with a 20% discount and three remaining spots advertised, so late-season weeks can fill close to capacity. The teaching line-up rotates — Cara Sebastian is listed for the week of 17 to 24 October 2026.
