Yoga & Beach Retreat on Corfu: Daily Practice, Sound Baths and 1-Minute Walk to the Sea

Greece · 7 days · From EUR 1290

The retreat centre is in South Corfu, near the village of Agios Georgios and about an hour's drive from Corfu International Airport. The building is the family home Athina's grandfathers built by hand — it's been converted into a retreat space but still feels like a house rather than a hotel. Athina and Cedric live there, and so does a small team: a communications lead who also teaches, an on-site coordinator, a barista running the in-house café, a massage therapist, and a chef. Rooms are private or twin, and the beach is a one-minute walk from the gate.

A typical day starts with a guided meditation, then a morning vinyasa or hatha flow — active but not punishing, and beginners are genuinely welcome. Brunch is a buffet of local Mediterranean food: think Greek yoghurt, honey, fresh fruit, eggs, salads, olives, bread, and very good coffee from the on-site café. Afternoons are free. You can book a massage, walk to the beach, or head further out to Issos Beach and the nature reserve behind it. Evenings bring a slower yin or restorative class, sometimes yoga nidra, followed by a dinner buffet.

Once during the week there's a guided hiking trip, a mantra circle, and a sound bath. A boat trip can be arranged for an extra charge. The yoga styles taught are vinyasa flow, yin, tantra-inspired meditation, breathwork, mantra chanting, and yoga nidra. Workshops run alongside the regular classes — some have a small materials fee. Classes are taught in English.

The retreats run from April to October, with different formats across the season: shorter yoga holidays, longer immersive retreats, and yoga teacher trainings. The centre has collected over 400 five-star reviews, largely because it's small and personal rather than because it's polished — guests consistently mention being looked after, the food, and the fact that the owners are actually present.

What separates this from a bigger Greek yoga resort is the size and the setup. It's a house, not a campus. You eat at shared tables, the teachers are the owners, and the daily structure has enough space in it that you can actually rest. Most people come alone, the age range skews 30–50+, and the atmosphere is closer to staying with friends who happen to teach yoga than to a structured wellness programme.
