Home › Retreats › Yoga Retreats and Activity Weeks in a Traditional Swiss Chalet
Switzerland · 3 days
The centre sits in the Swiss Alps and operates as a group venue. The main building is a traditional Swiss chalet with a 150m2 yoga and studio space on site, used for yoga classes, meditation sessions, workshops and teacher training. Groups sleep in the chalet itself, so there is no commute between the practice space and the rooms.
The venue is set up for groups of up to around 20 people, based on the Omcean yoga retreat that ran there with 20 participants. That weekend combined yoga with workshops and time spent outside. The centre describes itself as a unique but affordable venue, and it is pitched at yoga retreats, creative workshops, activity holidays, meditation retreats and yoga teacher training.
What makes this different from a fixed-schedule retreat is that the programme is written by the group leader, not the venue. The centre's role is to host: providing the chalet, the studio, the meals and local contacts. They say they use their local knowledge and contacts to help organisers plan the retreat, which suggests they can advise on walks, excursions and logistics in the surrounding Alps.
Meals are prepared on site and have drawn specific praise. Sophie from Switzerland, who attended a yoga weekend, wrote that the welcome was perfect and the meals were excellent, varied and fresh, and that all the participants were delighted. That is the only guest feedback quoted on the page.
The centre also runs its own listing of upcoming retreats for people who want to join a group rather than organise one, so individuals can book onto scheduled weeks. For organisers, there is a separate enquiry route to discuss dates and requirements.
