Brittany · 3 days · From EUR 400
The weekend starts on Friday evening with a welcome circle and a yin practice at 19:00, followed by dinner at 20:30. Saturday and Sunday mornings follow the same pattern: tea, coffee and snacks from 8:30, a long vinyasa class at 9:00 paired with a duet Thai massage, then brunch at 11:30. Saturday afternoon is unscheduled until a yin and restorative practice at 18:00 and a candlelit dinner at 19:30. Sunday has the same morning, then a meditation and closing circle at 15:00 before everyone leaves.
The setting is a hamlet in the countryside near La Torche, restored and used entirely by the group for the weekend. The yoga studio is a dedicated 35m² room with wood panelling and a wooden floor. There is also a sauna, available at any time, that fits four people.
What separates this from a bigger yoga week is the food and the scale. Chloé cooks vegetarian and gluten-free dishes, serves brunch buffet-style at midday and plates dinner at the table in the evening. Nobody shops, cooks or washes up. The group is small enough that the shared bathrooms and the single dining table make sense.
Johanna organises the weekend and teaches every session. She has five years of teaching behind her and several trainings, and describes her classes as accessible but precise, with options for people who have never practised and for those who have. She has deliberately kept the price low: €450 for a solo room, €400 for a shared one.
Rooms are in the hamlet and all have shared bathrooms. Three solo rooms have a double bed each and were already reserved at the time of listing. Of the shared rooms, one has a single bed and two have two single beds each; several beds were also already taken. The Pointe de La Torche, one of Brittany's best-known surf spots, is 3km away, and the surrounding coast and countryside are what you walk or drive to in the free afternoons.
