Yoga & Spa Wellness Escape in Tuscany's Maremma

L'Andana sits in the middle of the Maremma, the coastal stretch of southern Tuscany between the sea and the hills. The hotel is a converted estate with a main villa, gardens, a pool and the ESPA spa on site. You check in, do a yoga class, eat well, sleep, and repeat once more before leaving. Two nights is short, but it's enough to actually stop rather than just pass through.

The package includes two 1-hour yoga classes per person across the stay, so typically one on each day. The 50-minute Inner Calm massage is booked at the ESPA spa, which also has the usual sauna, steam and treatment rooms. Dinner at La Villa Bistrot is a three-course meal for two; breakfast is a buffet each morning. Drinks at dinner aren't included.

Pricing depends on the season and the room. From 27 April to 14 June and from 15 September to 1 November, a Deluxe double is €1,872 for two people, a Junior Suite is €2,127 and a Suite is €2,756. From 15 June to 14 September those go up to €2,135, €2,416 and €3,053 respectively. Prices include taxes, VAT and services but not the tourist tax of €5 per person aged 14 and over.

What separates this from a standard spa break is that the yoga and the massage are built into the rate rather than added on, and the resort itself has enough going on — the spa, the restaurants, the grounds — that you don't need to leave. It's also close enough to the coast and to towns like Castiglione della Pescaia that you can spend an afternoon out if you want to.
