10-Day Breathwork Teacher Training and Wellness Retreat in Playa del Carmen, Mexico

The Breathe Love Academy's Breathwork Teacher Training is an 8-day intensive (with extra arrival and departure days) designed to give you everything you need to facilitate breathwork sessions and ceremonies confidently. The training goes beyond just technique—it integrates yoga, tantra, Taoism, and shamanism, and emphasizes embodiment, meaning you'll practice everything on yourself before you ever guide others.

A typical day during the training involves a mix of theory and practice. The first day runs from 10am to 12pm and then 2pm to 7pm, with later days mostly in the afternoon from 2pm to 7pm. You'll also have 2-3 hours of daily homework. The curriculum covers the science of breathwork, trauma-informed facilitation, public speaking, and how to create a safe container for participants. You'll learn how to use energetic space cleansing, grounding techniques, and conscious relating exercises to prepare a group for deep work.

What makes this training stand out is the small group size and the one-on-one mentorship. With only 5 to 10 participants, you get a lot of individual attention. Mariposa herself is a certified yoga teacher (200-hour, 2017) and has trained in Tantra and Breathwork in Koh Phangan, Thailand. She developed the Breathe Love method, which she describes as a way to access DMT ('the spirit molecule') without plant medicines. Her teaching style blends practical skills with a deep spiritual emphasis.

The location is Playa del Carmen in the Riviera Maya, a setting that feels both tropical and spiritually charged. You're close to beaches, Fifth Avenue, and sacred cenotes. The accommodation is in a secure gated community with a pool and wellness spaces, so you can relax between sessions.
