Home › Retreats › 11-Day Hybrid Yoga Teacher Training and Wellness Retreat in Costa Rica
Costa Rica · 11 days · From USD 2159
The retreat blends online learning with ten days of intensive in-person training at Aves Hotel & Resort, a luxurious jungle sanctuary overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Each day starts with a vigorous yet accessible yoga practice, followed by workshops on alignment, anatomy, philosophy, and teaching techniques. Evenings wind down with restorative or yin yoga, and there's one day off each week to explore the beaches and trails of Montezuma.
Leah, the lead teacher, is known for her supportive style and has built a loyal following—many students return for advanced trainings or travel from around the world to study with her. The training caps at 24 students, ensuring plenty of individual attention. You'll graduate with a Yoga Alliance certificate, ready to teach multiple styles.
The location is a key part of the experience: the retreat center is nestled in the jungle, with two pools, an ocean-view yoga shala, and private trails leading to the beach. You can fall asleep to the sounds of howler monkeys and spend your breaks swimming or hiking. The atmosphere is warm and community-focused, with shared meals and plenty of time to connect with fellow yogis.
The hybrid format means you can complete the online portion at your own pace before or after the in-person week, making it easier to fit a 200-hour training into a busy schedule. The training also covers the business of teaching yoga, so you'll feel confident stepping into a career.
