Rishikesh · 12 days · From USD 776
The journey starts in Rishikesh, the 'Yoga Capital of the World,' where you'll have time to explore the town before heading north. From there, the route winds through picturesque hill stations like Mussoorie and Barkot before reaching the first Dham, Yamunotri. A six-kilometer trek from Janki Chatti leads to the temple, where you can take a dip in the hot springs of Tapt Kund.
Next, you'll cross over to the second Dham, Gangotri, the source of the Ganges. The drive through the Harsil Valley, with the Bhagirathi River running alongside, is one of the most scenic stretches of the trip. Gangotri Temple is easily accessible by road, making it a welcome break before the most challenging leg: Kedarnath. Here, a 16-kilometer trek (or a pony, palanquin, or helicopter ride if you prefer) takes you up to one of the holiest Shiva temples in India, perched at over 3,500 meters.
The final Dham, Badrinath, is an easier drive via Joshimath. The route passes through Vishnuprayag, where the Alaknanda and Dhauliganga rivers meet. After visiting the temple, you'll have time to explore nearby Mana Village, the last Indian village before the Tibetan border, and see the cave where the sage Vyasa is said to have composed the Mahabharata.
Throughout the tour, daily yoga and meditation classes help you stay present and connected. Your lead instructors—Yogi Vijeth, Yogi Himanshu, and Yogi Manish—are all 500-hour RYT-certified with international teaching experience. The team also includes a pandit who will lead pooja and havan fire ceremonies at the temples, adding a layer of ritual that deepens the spiritual experience.
