Rishikesh · From INR 599
If you are drawn to the authentic Kundalini tradition and want a focused way into it, this 100-Hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training offers a shorter path than a full foundational course while still grounding you in the practice. It suits those looking to deepen their personal practice and begin learning to teach, and on completion graduates are eligible to register the hours with Yoga Alliance. There is no specific prior fitness level stated, so if you have any health concerns it is worth checking directly with the school before you book.
The training is a 13-day, 12-night residential immersion at Ishavasyam Yoga School in Rishikesh. Over ten days of classes you build both your own practice and the foundations of teaching, working through Kundalini kriyas, mantra, pranayama and meditation, alongside Hatha, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Yin and Ayurveda. The focus is on the authentic Kundalini tradition, so you leave with a genuine understanding of its roots rather than a surface introduction.
You will be based in Tapovan, Rishikesh, in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Accommodation sits in a peaceful residential space surrounded by greenery, offering a calm environment for rest and reflection. You can choose between a private room, a shared twin room, or a 4-bed dormitory, each well-furnished with comfortable beds; private rooms have ensuite bathrooms, and all rooms have Wi-Fi. A separate yoga hall is just a short walk away, dedicated to classes and practices, which keeps your learning space distinct from your living space. The atmosphere is supportive and community-focused, and students often form close bonds, with the dormitory in particular encouraging a sense of togetherness.
A typical day begins early, with an asana class from 06:00 to 07:30 followed by pranayama and meditation until 08:30, then breakfast. The morning continues with Ayurveda for Kundalini, teaching methodology and mantra, and a session on Kundalini and Tantra before lunch. Afternoons cover adjustment and alignment, Ashtanga Vinyasa, and in the evening a class in Yoga and Tantra philosophy. The rhythm is full but considered, moving between your own practice and the skills you need to guide others. The programme opens with a welcome orientation and tour of the school on arrival, and closes with written and practical assessment, a ceremony and certificate presentation.
Meals are treated as part of the practice itself. Three sattvic vegetarian meals are served daily — breakfast, lunch and dinner — with herbal teas and snacks between sessions. The food is prepared according to Ayurvedic principles, using seasonal fruits, fresh vegetables, whole grains, lentils and legumes, cooked with filtered water and organic ingredients wherever possible. Dishes such as dal, rice, roti, vegetable curries and seasonal salads are designed to be light and easy to digest, supporting your energy through intensive days. Gluten-free and vegan options are available on request.
Your package includes accommodation for the full 13 days and 12 nights, three sattvic meals daily with herbal tea and snacks, yoga materials and a course manual, a guided excursion and a complimentary sound bath healing session. Airport pickup and drop-off are included for all bookings except dormitory places. Air-conditioning or a room heater, visa fees, airfare and taxis from Delhi or Haridwar are not included.
