Balearic Islands · 13 days · From USD 1399
The 200-hour training is built around 13 days of onsite work at a peaceful countryside villa in Mallorca, near Alcúdia, supported by online modules you can complete over a full year. The in-person part covers two weeks of daily practice and workshops, starting with a morning asana and pranayama session, moving through anatomy, sequencing labs, and philosophy, then finishing with yin or partner work before dinner. Evenings are left for review, self-practice and social time.
What sets this training apart is the range of styles taught and the emphasis on connecting theory to real practice. Julia, who completed the training, noted how the theoretical parts always linked back to actual practice, and called the teaching team wonderful. The curriculum includes Iyengar and aerial yoga, which participants said opened them up to a new expression of yoga. There are also special experiences woven in, like meditations, kirtans, a cacao ceremony and a closing celebration circle.
The villa houses 8 to 10 participants, with a pool, garden and sun terrace, and is a short drive from one of Mallorca's iconic beaches. The group heads there for a dedicated yoga and meditation session. Meals are vegetarian with vegan and gluten-free options, and the atmosphere is communal and supportive.
Anika, the lead host, trained in Rishikesh and has expanded into Pilates, aerial yoga and massage. Juan brings 16 years of experience, having studied yoga in Colombia and massage in Bolivia and Thailand. Hagar, a mother of three and Iyengar practitioner of 14 years, focuses on core strength and emotional resilience. The training is beginner-friendly despite the intensity, and you can start the online portion two months before arrival.
