14-Day 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training on the Beach in Costa Rica

Costa Rica · 15 days · From USD 2581

The training is led by Yogi Aaron, who has over 30 years of yoga experience and has studied under teachers like Alan Finger, Bryan Kest, and Swami Rama. The style is rooted in the Himalayan tradition, with influences from Hatha, Iyengar, Vinyasa, Kundalini, Restorative, and Bhakti yoga. A key part of what makes this different is AYAMA, Aaron's own method that combines muscle activation with yoga therapy, so you learn to teach in a way that's practical and therapeutic.

You cover a lot of ground in 14 days: sequencing, anatomy, the koshas, chakras, Kundalini, Ayurveda, mantras, Yoga Nidra, and kriya yoga. There's a strong emphasis on the energetic and meditative side of practice, alongside the physical postures. You get a comprehensive manual, and you'll have chances to practice teaching with real resort guests and community members, not just your fellow trainees.

The setting is central to the experience. Blue Osa is on the Osa Peninsula, which National Geographic called one of the most biologically intense places on Earth. It's near Corcovado National Park and the Gulfo Dulce. You'll see howler monkeys, scarlet macaws, and all four species of Costa Rican monkeys. The beach is right there, the yoga shala is open-air, and the jungle is thick around the property.

It's an intensive program, but it's designed so you're not in class from dawn to midnight. You'll have some free time to enjoy the beach, join nature hikes, or head out on excursions. The schedule weaves in evening activities like kirtan and movie nights. This isn't just about learning to teach—it's about living a yogic lifestyle for two weeks in a place that makes it easy.
