Indonesia · 14 days · From USD 1551
Mornings at the shala begin early with meditation and pranayama, easing you into your body before an hour of hatha or vinyasa practice. The training deliberately slows down the pace so you can feel alignment, breath, and transitions more clearly. You'll build familiarity with sequences over the two weeks, and the instructors introduce themes like chakra awareness and nervous system regulation in a practical, applicable way. This foundation is what you'll draw on both for personal practice and for teaching others.
A key strength of this program is its focus on teaching skills. You start guiding small sections of class from early on, and each week you build toward leading a full 75-minute practice. The feedback is direct and supportive, and the approach is structured and repeatable. You'll also cover functional anatomy, making sure you understand how the body moves so you can keep your future students safe. Philosophy is taught as something to live with rather than just study, drawing on the Yoga Sutras and the 8 Limbs in a grounded way.
Each week includes one 90-minute class each of aerial, acro, and yin yoga. The aerial yoga uses a custom-designed swing with cushioned padding, which is more comfortable than traditional hammocks, and the approach is gentle and beginner-friendly. Acro yoga focuses on connection and communication through partner-based movements, and it's often a highlight of the week. Yin and restorative yoga bring the pace down, helping you recover both physically and mentally. You'll also cover ashtanga as a bridge between hatha and vinyasa, giving you a structured sequence you can rely on.
The instructors come from diverse backgrounds. Héloïse has taught since 2013, including corporate classes for Google and Lululemon, and is certified in vinyasa and restorative yoga. Eddie, the founder, began his journey in 2007 and has been running teacher trainings since 2014. Prashant brings over a decade of teaching with a strong foundation in classical hatha from Rishikesh. Marylene is a Doctor of Osteopathy and ERYT-500, specializing in therapeutic yoga and anatomy. You'll also work with Adnya, Arbely, Elena, Flora, and Bianca, each with their own specialties ranging from aerial to trauma-informed practice.
