The 14-Day 'Eat Pray Love' Shamanic Blessing & Yoga Retreat is run entirely by locals in the traditional Balinese village of Sesandan, tucked away in the middle of the island near Mount Watukaru. You'll practice Traditional Balinese Watukaru Yoga, one of the oldest yoga forms in the world, which originated on this very mountain thousands of years ago. The practice blends physical postures with deep meditation and chanting, with a focus on spiritual awakening. You'll have access to the ancient ashram Pasraman Seruling Dewata, which preserves all 13 original styles of yoga. Your days follow a gentle rhythm: morning yoga and breakfast, then a cultural or village activity like rice farming or a Balinese cooking class, then lunch, afternoon yoga, and another cultural experience before dinner. The retreat includes a complimentary one-hour spa treatment every other day, and you’re surrounded by lush rice paddies, coconut trees, and the spiritual energy of the village. This is a true cultural immersion, with activities like waterfall purification ceremonies, visits to a local shaman, and traditional dance performances.
