200-Hour Ashtanga & Multi-Style Yoga Teacher Training in Cambodia

The training is built around the traditional Ashtanga method—its sets, breathing techniques, and alignment—but it goes well beyond that. You'll spend 100 hours on techniques, training, and practice, 25 on teaching methodology, 20 on anatomy and physiology, 30 on yoga philosophy and lifestyle, plus practice and self-study time. Expect to learn how to sequence and theme your own classes, how to safely adjust students in postures, and how to work with props like chairs and blocks.

The setting is a big part of the experience. Blue Indigo is a quirky, riverside resort in the village of Puk Russey, with a garden, a pool, and a yoga shala overlooking the water. The area is quiet and local—you'll hear monks chanting from nearby pagodas, and you can walk to little shops and cafés. Rooms are simple but comfortable, and meals are served family-style in the garden, which makes it easy to get to know the other trainees.

The teaching team includes Estella, a French 800-hour RYT who's been practicing Ashtanga for years and studied in India; Jean, who teaches meditation, sound healing, and Qi Gong; Prashant, a 30-year veteran with a master's in yoga science from Haridwar College; and Firouzian, who holds 500-hour multi-style and 200-hour Hatha, Vinyasa, and Aerial certifications. The small group size—between 6 and 12—means you get plenty of personal feedback and attention.
