200-Hour Hatha Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training & Reiki Certification in Okinawa

This 200-hour teacher training is designed to give you both the technical skills and the confidence to teach yoga professionally. The curriculum covers everything: asana technique and variations, pranayama, meditation, anatomy, teaching methodology, and the philosophy behind the practice. You'll study texts like the Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita, and you'll practice teaching in the final week, leading two 60-minute and two 90-minute classes to get real feedback.

A standout feature is the included Reiki Level 1 certification. You'll learn the history of Reiki, how to work with energy, and how to use it for balance. It's a practical skill that many yoga teachers add to their toolbox, and it's taught as part of the same training.

Your lead teacher is Marta, an E-RYT500 with over eight years of teaching experience. She's also a Reiki master, yoga nidra facilitator, and certified sound therapist. She trained under Bettina Kahlert, who studied with B.K.S. Iyengar and Pattabhi Jois, so there's a direct link to some of the greats of modern yoga.

The training takes place at Le Lotus Bleu, a beautifully restored 19th-century wooden merchant house in the village of Shiraho. It's a short drive from the airport but feels a world away. The villa has five guest rooms, each with a private bathroom, and there are serene gardens and wooden decks for practice. It's a warm, intimate setting – not a big retreat center, but a home.

Ishigaki itself is part of the story. It's known for its beaches, its snorkeling and diving, and its laid-back vibe. On your Sundays off, you can rent a bicycle, hike, kayak, or just lounge by the ocean. The island is small enough to explore easily, and the locals are welcoming. It's a genuinely special place to spend a month.
