Home › Retreats › 200-Hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in the Indian Jungle
India · 14 days · From USD 775
The residential immersion anchors this training. You spend two weeks living on-site with a small group (8–16 people), following a daily schedule that starts early with asana practice and moves through pranayama, meditation, chanting, alignment workshops, and teaching practice sessions. Afternoons include hands-on adjustment training, props work, and kriyas. Evenings wind down with group discussion, self-reflection, and Q&A.
Satavisha, the lead teacher, has taught alignment-based yoga for over 16 years and trained in the Krishnamacharya lineage. She holds an ERYT-500 certification and an Ayush-certified Prenatal Yoga credential. Her co-facilitator, Dr. Achal, has been practicing yoga for 30 years alongside a corporate career at companies like Pepsi, Sony, and GE; he now teaches regularly at The Yoga House in Mumbai and has led retreats in Varanasi, Dharamsala, and internationally.
The hybrid structure means you're not locked into a single location for months. After the residential portion ends on October 31st, the online module runs through November with three live philosophy sessions per week (30 hours total), a self-paced anatomy and physiology course (30 hours), and guided self-study assignments covering yogic lifestyle and professional ethics. You can complete the online portion from wherever you are.
The training leads to a Yoga Alliance-registered 200-hour certification. Teaching methodology and practice teaching get significant time during the residential weeks, so you leave having actually stood in front of a group and taught, received feedback, and refined your cueing.
