Home › Retreats › 200-Hour Hybrid Yoga Teacher Training in Chiang Mai: 2-Week Immersion & Online Study
Chiang Mai · 14 days · From USD 2328
The training takes place at Kaomai Lanna, a boutique resort built from restored tobacco curing barns and decorated with colonial teakwood antique furniture. It's a peaceful, characterful setting with a yoga shala, a pool for recovery, and lush gardens, located on the route to Doi Inthanon. The trainers live at the center with you and share all meals together, which means constant access to ask questions and get personal feedback on your teaching.
The daily schedule is designed to balance physical practice with the academic side of teaching. Mornings start with asana and meditation, then move into workshops covering alignment, sequencing, anatomy, and the philosophy behind the practice. Afternoons include practicum sessions where you actually teach your peers and receive constructive feedback. The program is structured to build your confidence from day one, so by the end of the two weeks, you're comfortable leading a full class.
Your main teacher is Abi, a London-based instructor who integrates Hatha, Vinyasa, pranayama, and meditation in her teaching. She found yoga at a difficult point in her life and has used it as a tool for health and grounding ever since. She leads retreats in the Canary Islands and teaches both live and recorded online classes, and she'll also be a resource during your online component.
What really stands out is the group size, capped at 22 but typically much smaller. The organizers describe these as small-group deep journeys, and the intimacy means you get personal attention in every session. You're not a number in a big cohort, you're someone they know by name and can support individually.
The online portion that follows the residential training is where you consolidate everything. You revisit the course material, complete assignments, and continue your practice in your own environment. The aim is for the learning to stick, not for you to just rush through a checklist. The whole structure is meant to be both immersive and sustainable.
