Home › Retreats › 200-Hour Luxury Yoga Teacher Training on the Sri Lankan Coast
Sri Lanka · 23 days · From USD 2700
The course at Blue Whale Resort covers the full 200-hour syllabus across asana, pranayama, mudras, philosophy, anatomy, and teaching methodology. Each morning starts with a two-hour asana practice, and evenings bring restorative or meditative sessions. You'll study the Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita, and Tantra philosophy in a way that's grounded in real life, not just theory. By the end, you'll have taught classes, received feedback, and developed your own teaching style.
What makes this training different is its pace and balance. Nothing is forced or rushed—you're not just clocking hours. There's time to rest, reflect, and let the practice sink in. The teaching is deeply personal, with a team of experienced instructors like Master Nirakar, who has been practicing for over eighteen years, and Sam R, who brings a strong Iyengar alignment background. Small group sizes mean you get real attention and can ask questions anytime.
The location plays a huge role in the experience. Kalpitiya is relatively untouched, known for its pristine beaches and calm lagoon. It's far from the noise of city life, surrounded by palm trees, mangroves, and wildlife. The resort itself is simple and clean, with direct beach access and views that make you want to slow down. It's the perfect setting to fully immerse yourself in yoga, without distractions.
