Rishikesh · 22 days · From USD 1033
The 200-hour training at Fitfortunes Holistic Wellness Yoga School is built around a simple idea: yoga is more than the physical postures. The curriculum covers Hatha and Vinyasa Krama styles, but also spends serious time on pranayama, meditation, yoga philosophy, and teaching methodology. By the end you'll have the knowledge and confidence to lead your own classes, backed by a Yoga Alliance-accredited certificate that's recognised worldwide.\n\nLead teacher Pravesh Narwal brings 16 years of experience in orthopedic rehab to the training room. Before becoming a full-time yoga teacher, he worked as an assistant orthotist, so he understands how the body moves and why alignment matters. His classes are detailed and safe, and he's particularly good at explaining how to teach students of different levels and abilities. Devesh Narwal, who trained in Vinyasa Krama under the renowned Ramaswami, adds a breath-focused, flowing edge to the program, along with his sound healing sessions using Himalayan singing bowls and gongs.\n\nThe school is tucked into the heart of Rishikesh, close to Lakshman Jhula and within easy reach of the Ganga. You'll be surrounded by greenery and mountain views, with the sound of the river a constant backdrop. Meals are organic, vegetarian, and sattvic—light, clean food designed to keep you energised through the intense schedule.\n\nWhat sets this training apart is the individual attention. With groups capped at 15, the teachers know everyone by name and adjust their teaching to where you are in your practice. It's not a factory-style course; it feels more like joining a small community of people learning together.\n\nWeekends offer a slower rhythm, with a full day off on Sunday and Sunday dinner together. Excursions, kirtan, and movie nights are woven into the schedule, so it's not all study—there's space to connect with your fellow trainees and the town itself.
