200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rural Spain's Wine Country

200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rural Spain's Wine Country

Valencia · 14 days · From USD 3265

The training covers methodology, philosophy, anatomy, and personal development — the full Yoga Alliance 200-hour curriculum — delivered over 14 days in a setting that feels more like a country-house stay than a classroom. The historic house sits near Pinoso, about 56 km from Alicante airport, so it's easy to reach but feels properly remote once you're there.

Mornings start with a 75-minute yoga practice at 7am, followed by a buffet breakfast of cereals, toast, fruit, and juice. Training sessions run from 9:30am to 5pm with an hour off for lunch (typically mixed salads and pasta, served buffet-style). After 5pm you're free: swim in the pool, soak in the hot tub, walk in the surrounding countryside, or use the time for self-study. Dinner is served at 6:30pm, often eaten outside as the evening cools down, and the food is freshly cooked using local produce.

The house itself has seven bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, so there's no queueing for showers after morning practice. Common areas include a kitchen, a garden, a terrace, and a dedicated yoga shala. Air conditioning and free wifi are included, and there's free parking if you're driving.

Candice leads the training herself and brings a decade of teaching experience plus specialist certifications in Yoga Nidra, Ayurveda, Yin Yoga, and Restorative Yoga. She's also an Ayurvedic nutritionist and meditation teacher, so the curriculum goes beyond asana into breathwork, philosophy, and how to structure a class. Past guests describe her as friendly, precise, and genuinely invested in each student's progress.

The programme suits beginners through to advanced practitioners — the listing explicitly welcomes all skill levels. Group sizes are small (the house sleeps seven in private or shared rooms), so you get individual attention and the cohort tends to bond quickly. Several evenings turn into informal gatherings: film nights, stargazing, or cooking together.

By the final day you'll have completed the full 200-hour syllabus, taught practice classes to your peers, and earned a Yoga Alliance-accredited certificate. The school also provides pre- and post-retreat support, so you're not left on your own once you get home.
