Home › Retreats › 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training & Wellness Immersion in Bali
Indonesia · 21 days · From USD 3108
The training is built around the traditional Peruvian shamanic medicine wheel, which guides you through four cycles of release, understanding, growth, and empowerment. Each day has a spiritual intention that threads through the practice and study, and the schedule is full: you'll learn to teach two asana sequences — the mystical hatha flow (slow, meditative, Sivananda-based) and the mystical vinyasa flow (breath-synchronized and more intense) — plus alignment, adjustments, and intelligent sequencing. The curriculum also covers yoga anatomy, the Yoga Sutras, Ayurveda, pranayama, kriyas, chakras and energetic anatomy, and even an introduction to conscious business for those wanting to teach professionally.
What makes this different from a typical YTT is the shamanic thread. You'll work with earth medicines, energy healing, and shamanic journeying, and take part in traditional ceremonies including full-moon and new-moon ceremonies, a letting-go ceremony, an Andean gratitude ceremony, and a cacao ceremony. The location amplifies this: Sumberkima Hill sits in the Sumberkima hills of North Bali, with views over the sea, valleys, and the volcanoes of Java. The retreat center has two infinity pools, a spa with sauna and ice baths, and a yoga shala that looks out over the jungle toward the water. The teaching team includes April, who trained with SYI and the Indra Yoga Institute and also practices as a trauma-informed doula and Reiki healer, and Javiera, a physiotherapist from Chile who completed her own YTT in Bali.
Days off are built into the rhythm — every fifth day you're free, with three days off across the 21 days. Optional activities include waterfall visits, turtle conservation, cycling, surf lessons, a trip to Tanah Lot temple, a purification ceremony at Tirta Empul, and hiking Mount Batur at sunrise. The program asks for full commitment: a vegetarian diet, no alcohol or caffeine, and a step back from technology for the duration. It's a demanding month that rewards those ready to fully lean in.
