200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Wellness Retreat in Mytikas, Greece

Greece · 23 days · From USD 2246

YogaUnion has been running yoga teacher training for over 15 years, beginning in Bali and expanding to Greece, the birthplace of founder Ourania. This 23-day residential training in Mytikas is an immersive experience that combines daily yoga practice with theoretical study. Mornings start with pranayama, meditation, and mantra chanting, followed by a dynamic Vinyasa flow session. Early afternoons are dedicated to learning asana alignment, adjustments, and teaching methodology, with alternating days covering yoga philosophy and anatomy. In the late afternoon, students participate in restorative practices like Yin, Hatha, and Yoga Nidra, as well as themed workshops such as handstands, hip openers, partner yoga, and spiritual immersions. One day per week is free for relaxation and exploration.

The curriculum is thorough and designed to build confidence in teaching. Students learn to analyze 80+ postures, offer hands-on adjustments, and understand the anatomy of the human body. Philosophy classes explore the origins of yoga, the eight-limb path, and the energetic body. Teaching methodology starts with one-to-one lessons and progresses to delivering a 30-minute class to fellow students. The training culminates in a written exam and a practical teaching assessment. Upon successful completion, graduates are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).

The accommodation is at Thesmos Village Hotel, located just 35km from Aktion Airport. The hotel features modern amenities including air conditioning, free WiFi, a swimming pool, and a yoga shala with sea views. Guests enjoy three daily vegetarian meals prepared with local and organic ingredients. With a group size of 8-30 participants, the retreat fosters a supportive, community-like atmosphere.

Eleni Chantzara, lead instructor, began her yoga journey in 2009 and has over ten years of teaching experience. She is known for her compassionate approach, blending self-love and connection with a strong mind-body practice. The retreat is suitable for beginners and intermediate practitioners aged 18-60, and is rated 4.99/5 by past participants.
