Koh Phangan · 21 days · From USD 2731
The heart of this 200-hour training is the daily practice. Most days follow a consistent rhythm: meditation at the beach at 8 AM, then a 90-minute asana practice with pranayama, a tea break, and a session on philosophy, theory, and anatomy before brunch. After a long break, you'll return for the art of teaching—learning how to align and adjust students—and finish with a late-afternoon asana practice or workshop. The schedule is challenging, but the balance of practice, theory, and teaching means you progress steadily without burning out.
What really sets this training apart is Antonio Loddo. He's an E-RYT500-certified teacher from Sardinia who trained in Thailand and India and returns to Mysore regularly to study. Students repeatedly describe him as down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in their progress. He has a reputation for breaking down advanced asanas like arm balances into approachable 'baby steps,' which is why this training is open to all levels—even complete beginners can safely learn Ashtanga and advanced postures under his guidance. The curriculum covers not just Vinyasa and Ashtanga flows but also Yin yoga, meditation, breathwork, and the philosophy behind the practice.
The location, Nest Yoga, sits on a hilltop overlooking the Khao Ra mountains, about three minutes' walk from the beach. The open-air shala is surrounded by tropical greenery, and the sound of birds and wind in the palms is the constant soundtrack. The training includes nature hikes with a trusted guide, so you get to explore the island's jungle and viewpoints. There's a strong community feel—you'll be with a small group of like-minded people from around the world, sharing meals, practice, and free time. By the end of the three weeks, you'll have not only a certification but also a deeper understanding of yoga and a network of fellow practitioners.
