23 Day 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Immersion in Rishikesh

Rishikesh · 23 days · From USD 516

The 200-hour curriculum follows Yoga Alliance standards rigorously, covering asana, pranayama, meditation, anatomy and physiology, yoga philosophy, teaching methodology, and practicum. The day begins at 5:30 AM with a wake-up bell and pranayama on the riverbank, followed by a ninety-minute asana practice—some days Hatha and Vinyasa, other days Ashtanga and alignment. After a seasonal vegetarian breakfast, the academic blocks begin: yoga philosophy drawn from Patanjali's Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita, functional anatomy with contraindications and modifications, and teaching methodology covering sequencing, cueing, and classroom management. Afternoons focus on practicum, where you teach and receive feedback from peers and faculty. Evenings close with satsang, meditation, mantra, kirtan, and Q&A, before silence at 9 PM. Across the 23 days, you cover roughly 75 hours of asana and alignment, 30 of pranayama and meditation, 30 of philosophy and ethics, 20 of anatomy, 25 of methodology, and 20 of assessed practicum, plus karma yoga. This is a full immersion, not a checklist—you learn to sequence intelligently, cue with precision, read a room, and hold space for students at every level. The setting is a riverside shala in Tapovan, with the morning mist rising from the Ganges and the Himalayan foothills framing every sunrise. Led by Sudhanshu Badoni and a small visiting faculty, the training emphasizes the Eastern practices—pranayama, kriyas, yoga nidra, and mantras—alongside the physical practice. With only twelve students in a cohort, you get personalized attention that's rare in teacher trainings. You'll leave not just with a certificate, but with the confidence and competence to teach yoga anywhere.
