23-Day Yin Yoga & Meditation Teacher Certification in Goa

India · 23 days · From USD 1422

The course is built around Yin Yoga — the slow, floor-based practice where you hold poses for several minutes to work on connective tissue and the meridian system. You'll learn the anatomy of why yin works, how to sequence it safely, and how to use props (blocks, bolsters, straps) to modify poses for different bodies. The training manual goes into detail on each posture and its variations.

Meditation makes up a big chunk of the curriculum. You'll practise and learn to teach traditional seated meditations, active meditation techniques (the kind where you move or make sound), tantra meditation, and short daily-life meditations — the ones you can actually use when you're stressed at work. There's also a full Laughter Yoga Leader certification included, which is unusual for a Yin-focused course.

The schedule is structured but not brutal. Mornings start at 7:15 with asana practice (led or Mysore style), then breakfast at 9. Mid-morning is teaching curriculum and alignment work. After lunch and a rest, you do anatomy, philosophy, pranayama, mudras, and evening meditation. Lights out at 9:30. Saturdays are half-days and Sundays are off.

The teaching team includes Sukhvinder Singh, who leads the yin and meditation sessions; Seema Bedi, a Canadian writer and mindfulness teacher; Rana Pratap Singh, who has a master's in yogic sciences and covers Ashtanga and Hatha; and Dr. Vivek Mohindra, an Ayurvedic doctor with over 30 years of experience who handles the philosophy and Ayurveda portions.

The campus itself is on a quiet hilltop surrounded by green hills, about 20 minutes' walk from Querim Beach and near the beaches of Arambol, Mandrem, and Morjim. The yoga shala has a waterfall view. It's genuinely peaceful — far enough from the beach party scene that you can focus, close enough that you can get there on a day off.

You leave with a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification, a Laughter Yoga Leader certificate, and a self-study module called Svadhyaya that's meant for ongoing self-discovery after the course ends.
