23-Day Yoga Alliance 200-Hour Teacher Training Immersion in Rishikesh

Rishikesh · 23 days · From USD 517

Each day follows a rhythm that balances practice, study, and rest. At 5:30 AM, the wake bell rings and you head to the riverbank for pranayama. The morning asana block runs ninety minutes, alternating between Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and alignment-focused practice. After a seasonal vegetarian breakfast, the academic sessions begin: yoga philosophy drawn from Patanjali's Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita, functional anatomy with contraindications and modifications, and teaching methodology covering sequencing, cueing, voice, and classroom management.

Across the 23 days, you'll log roughly 75 hours of asana and alignment, 30 of pranayama and meditation, 30 of philosophy and ethics, 20 of anatomy, 25 of methodology, and 20 of assessed practicum, plus karma yoga. This meets Yoga Alliance's 200-hour standard. The small cohort—capped at thirty, often smaller—means instructors can give individual attention, and the riverside shala in Tapovan has drawn practitioners to the Ganges for generations.

The lead instructor, Sudhanshu Badoni, teaches from the classical Hatha lineage, and he's supported by a small visiting faculty. Between sessions, you'll have time for mango chai on the terrace, a walk to the Ram Jhula bridge, or watching the Ganga Aarti lights downstream. Evenings bring satsang, meditation, mantra, and kirtan, before silence at 9 PM. While the days are full, the pace is sustainable, and the environment—quiet, spiritual, and supportive—helps you absorb what you're learning.
