Home › Retreats › 23-Day Yoga Teacher Training and Wellness Immersion in Bali's Rice Terraces
Indonesia · 23 days · From USD 819
A typical day starts early with pranayama and meditation, easing you into the practice before the main asana session. Mornings focus on alignment and Hatha techniques, with time to build a solid foundation in the poses. Afternoons shift to teaching methodology, philosophy, and anatomy—the subjects that turn your personal practice into something you can share. You'll also cover the Yoga Sutras and the eight limbs of yoga, which gives the physical practice a philosophical grounding.
The curriculum is multi-style, so you're not locked into one tradition. You'll work through Hatha, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa, and also learn pranayama, shatkarma, mantra chanting, and meditation techniques. This variety helps you figure out what resonates with you as a future teacher. Teaching practice is a core part of the training—you'll learn how to cue safely, offer modifications, and build the confidence to stand in front of a class.
Evenings wind down with restorative sessions like Yoga Nidra or sound healing. It's a deliberate way to end the day—rather than burning out, you're given time to integrate what you've studied. The week also includes excursions to temples and nature spots, giving you a taste of Balinese spirituality beyond the practice mat.
The instructors have decades of combined experience. Sachin trained in Bali, India (a town known for yoga), and is a lead teacher in Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Hatha. Sunil holds a Master's in Yoga Science from Haridwar Sanskrit University, and has taught in Mumbai, China, and Indonesia. Both are known for clear, kind teaching, and their presence makes a long training feel personal rather than institutional.
The campus itself supports the learning. Besides the practice shala, there's a garden, a pool, and communal areas designed for connection. The vegetarian meals are satvik—simple, fresh, and meant to support your practice—with vegan and gluten-free options readily available. For the price, this is one of the most complete 200-hour trainings you'll find in Bali.
