24-Day Hatha & Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

The 200-hour training at Shivaay Shakti Yogashala in Ho Chi Minh City is a full-immersion course designed around a traditional Rishikesh-style timetable. Your days start before sunrise with a Hatha yoga practice to wake up the body, followed by pranayama and shatkarma (cleansing practices). Mornings continue with yoga philosophy and theory, where you'll study the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and other classical texts. Afternoons bring asana alignment and anatomy, then a dynamic Ashtanga session. Evenings taper off with meditation and mantra chanting, leaving you tired but in a genuinely calm headspace.

What sets this training apart is the small group setup. With a maximum of ten students, you get constant hands-on adjustments and real feedback from your teachers. The lead instructor, Yogi Gokul Ji, holds a master's degree in Yogic Science from Uttarakhand Sanskrit University and has a strong background in anatomy and physiology, which comes through in the way he explains alignment and body mechanics. He has taught at Swami Purnanand Degree College and various other yoga centers, and he teaches from a place of deep experience.

Sundays are kept free of scheduled classes so you have time to rest, self-practice, or explore the city. Ho Chi Minh City itself is a proper backdrop for a month away—think steaming bowls of pho at street stalls, the buzz of Bui Vien Street at night, and the quiet of the Jade Emperor Pagoda. The school also arranges weekend excursions and day trips, and the pre- and post-retreat support means you're well taken care of from the moment you land.
