India · 25 days · From USD 2000
This isn't just a study course—it's a full immersion. You'll spend 25 days living yoga, from the moment you wake to the moment you sleep. The schedule is full but balanced, with dedicated time for self-study and rest. Mornings are quiet and meditative, with a silent period until 11am. You'll practice pranayama, mantra, and a guided Hatha-Ashtanga class that focuses on alignment and therapeutic benefits. The afternoons are for deep learning, with classes in anatomy, yoga philosophy, and teaching methodology that are designed to be practical and immediately useful.
The course places a major emphasis on hands-on adjustments and sequencing workshops. You'll learn to safely and effectively guide students into poses, using a range of props and techniques. You'll also study the philosophy of the Bhagavad Gita and its applications in daily life, exploring the nadis, chakras, and kundalini system in depth. Anatomy classes are particularly thorough, focusing on functional anatomy and how it applies to yoga postures, with dedicated study of the foot, knee, hip, spine, and shoulder.
The school's location in South Goa is a big part of the experience. You're just a 100-meter walk from Benaulim Beach, a quieter stretch of coastline with golden sands and clear water. The villa itself is surrounded by tropical plants, coconut trees, and open farmland, yet cafes, restaurants, and shops are within easy reach. It's a place that feels away from it all, but you're never far from what you need.
What makes this program stand out is the teaching team's depth and their focus on the individual. With a maximum of 12 participants, you get constant feedback on your teaching practice and personal alignment. The teachers, like Subit Mishra—who brings a calm, knowledgeable presence—and Dorothea, with her background in physiotherapy and yoga therapy, are all invested in helping you grow. You'll leave not just with a certificate, but with a refined practice and the confidence to teach with greater awareness and skill.
