Rishikesh · 25 days · From USD 603
The course is built around a daily schedule that mirrors a traditional yogic lifestyle. Mornings typically start with pranayama and meditation, followed by a Hatha or Ashtanga practice session where teachers like Naveen and Shubh focus on alignment and adjustment. The afternoons are dedicated to theory: yoga philosophy with Gurudev Dhruvaji, anatomy, and Ayurveda with Dr. Prateek. Evenings bring mantra chanting, kirtan, or guest lectures, and there are regular sound healing sessions and full moon rituals depending on the date.
The Ayurveda module is the standout feature. Dr. Prateek Singh Rawat, who has over 15 years of clinical experience, teaches the five elements, dosha analysis, Ayurvedic diet, and herbal remedies. Students in previous cohorts have been surprised by how practical and interesting this part is, even those with a western medical background. You'll learn how to assess body types (prakriti) and imbalances (vikriti), and how to apply this knowledge in your own practice and teaching.
The school is spread across a few buildings, and you'll be training alongside other 200-hour and 300-hour cohorts. This creates a lively, international atmosphere — you'll meet students from all over the world, and the teachers make a point of being approachable. The management is known for being responsive to feedback, and the staff handle logistics like laundry and water refills so you can focus on your practice.
Rishikesh itself is the yoga capital of the world, and the school is in a quieter area with mountain views, a garden, and a cafe. You're close enough to walk to cafes and shops, but far enough from the main tourist bustle to concentrate on your training. The school also arranges group excursions on weekends, giving you a chance to explore the local ghats and temples along the Ganges.
