Italy · 28 days · From USD 2830
The 300-hour advanced training at YogaMea is a serious, full-time commitment designed to take you beyond the foundations you learned in your 200-hour course. The syllabus covers 145 hours of techniques, training, and practice — including asana, pranayama, kriya, mudra, bandha, meditation, and yoga nidra — plus 50 hours of anatomy and physiology, 45 hours of philosophy and ethics, 30 hours of teaching methodology, and 30 hours of practice teaching. You'll study the classic texts, including the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and learn about the different paths of yoga: Raja, Karma, Bhakti, and Jnana. The goal is not just to refine your physical practice but to give you a thorough understanding of yoga as a complete system, so you can teach with confidence and authenticity.
A key part of the course is the teaching practice. You'll get plenty of opportunities to lead classes, receive feedback, and refine your adjustment and assisting skills. The teachers are all experienced — Timea has been teaching for decades, and the guest teachers from Rishikesh bring a deep knowledge of traditional Hatha, Iyengar, and pranayama. Reviews from past students consistently praise the quality of instruction and the supportive atmosphere. As one recent guest wrote, "Timea is a hugely experienced teacher and I really enjoyed her lessons and meditations."
The school itself is simple and functional, with clean, air-conditioned rooms that all have private bathrooms. The emphasis is on the practice, not on luxury. Meals are vegetarian and prepared according to Satvik principles, which means fresh, light, and nourishing food that supports your practice. Evenings often include kirtan (devotional singing) or movie nights, so there's a sense of community and cultural exchange. The training is demanding — you'll be expected to be self-motivated and disciplined — but you'll leave with a recognized Yoga Alliance certification and, according to past students, a much stronger practice and a deeper understanding of yoga.
What sets this training apart is the combination of an authentic, traditional approach with a stunning Italian beach location. You're not in an ashram in India, but in a sunny seaside town where you can step out of class and be at the beach in minutes. The group size is small, so you'll get to know your teachers and classmates well. The program is also genuinely all-inclusive — accommodation, meals, tuition, and course materials are all covered in the price — which makes it easier to plan financially. Whether you want to become a professional teacher or just deepen your personal practice, this month in Misano will challenge and change you.
