28-Day Traditional Yoga Teacher Training Immersion in the French Countryside

France · 28 days · From USD 3550

This 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training is a one-month residential course at Centre Lothlorien in the Haute-Marne department of France. It is organized by Pinky More in affiliation with The Yoga Institute in Mumbai, India—a center over a century old, founded by Shri Yogendra. The training is based on Indian Classical Yoga, a holistic system that looks at yoga as a way of life rather than just a physical practice. You'll learn the 'how, why, and when' of asanas, plus pranayama, kriyas, and techniques developed by The Yoga Institute, including Sahajbhava asanas and Shat Karmas.

The curriculum blends practical and theoretical study. Practical training covers prime asanas, methods for leading meditation, and Karma Yoga, along with teaching practice. Theory classes introduce you to classical texts like the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and Gheranda Samhita, Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, anatomy, physiology, Ayurveda, and the psychology and philosophy of yoga. You'll learn how to apply these principles to your own life, and in turn, how to guide others. The goal is to become the best version of yourself, not just to perform postures.

What sets this training apart is its authenticity. Pinky More, who trained at The Yoga Institute, teaches in the traditional Indian style, bringing this lineage directly to Europe. The small group size ensures you get plenty of personal attention. You'll live in a family-like setting, which means the principles you learn in class are applied to everyday life—how you eat, interact, and spend your free time. This is an opportunity to not just learn yoga, but to live it for a month.

Beyond the classroom, the estate offers a serene backdrop. You can walk for hours in the forest, cycle through the countryside, or explore nearby historic towns like Langres and Troyes. The daily routine is structured, with classes from 09:00 to 18:30, but there's also time for self-practice and study. Evenings might find you reviewing notes, relaxing with tea, or preparing for the next day.
