28-Day Vinyasa-Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in Glyfada, Greece

Greece · 28 days · From USD 2200

The Yoga Skyros Academy has designed this 200-hour teacher training to go beyond standard Vinyasa instruction. The program emphasizes Vinyasa as a moving meditation that synchronizes breath with movement, building strength and flexibility while promoting mindfulness. You'll study the fundamentals, including the history of Vinyasa, anatomy related to the practice, pranayama, and the chakra system, and how to sequence classes that activate these energy centers. The curriculum aims to elevate Vinyasa from a purely fitness-based practice to a holistic mind-body discipline.

A typical day starts with a morning yoga class led by a senior teacher, followed by a debriefing session. After breakfast, you'll dive into theory and philosophy, then have lunch and some free time before practicing asanas in the afternoon. The evening includes another yoga class and a debriefing, ensuring you integrate what you've learned. The small class size—a maximum of ten students—means you'll have direct access to your teachers and can ask questions and receive personalized feedback.

Carmen, a Yoga Alliance registered teacher with over 20 years of experience as a fitness trainer and massage therapist, brings a dynamic and disciplined approach. Dietmar, her husband, leads the yoga therapy aspects and has a background in holistic therapies including Dr. Bach flower remedies and kinesiology. Together, they offer a blend of traditional yoga instruction and applied holistic health knowledge.

The location in Glyfada is part of the appeal. You're near the beach, with the option to hike a nearby mountain during your time off. The accommodation is in a modern penthouse, offering comfort and convenience. This isn't a retreat set in a remote village; it's a training program in an urban coastal setting, with the amenities of Athens nearby. The teaching staff is experienced, and the curriculum is well-structured, making it a solid choice for anyone serious about becoming a yoga teacher.
