Home › Retreats › 3-Day Beach Yoga & Martial Arts Fitness Retreat on Albania's Riviera
Albania · 3 days · From EUR 459
Day one starts with an 08:00 pickup from your hotel in Tirana, a scenic drive to the coast with a coffee stop in nature, and a late-morning martial-arts-inspired fitness session once you have settled into your bungalow. Lunch is at 13:00, the afternoon is free for swimming or doing nothing, and the evening brings Vinyasa Flow Yoga overlooking the coastline followed by a three-course welcome dinner at 19:30.
Day two is the fullest day. You start with meditation, breathwork and an energising Vinyasa Yoga Flow before breakfast, then a second session of dynamic beach fitness built on martial arts and functional training. After the 13:00 Mediterranean lunch there is a workshop on mindfulness and stress-management techniques, then free time on the beach. Evening yoga is slower and focused on flexibility, release and recovery, dinner is at 19:30, and the day closes with a Moon Salutation meditation on the beach inspired by an ancient Chinese tradition.
Day three begins with mindful Hatha Yoga and stretching, breakfast, and one last martial-arts-inspired fitness session. A traditional lunch at 12:30 is followed by free time for a final swim, then a closing Hatha Yoga and meditation session in the afternoon. You are driven back to Tirana at 17:00.
What separates this from a standard beach yoga week is the martial arts side. Albert runs a Shaolin Kung Fu academy in Albania and trained with Shaolin monks in China in 2024; the fitness sessions draw on Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Qi Gong and self-defence rather than generic circuits. The yoga is equally broad — Hatha, Iyengar, Yin, Kundalini and Vinyasa Flow all appear across the three days, and Andrea gives personalised recommendations for your own practice before you leave.
The setting is Plazhi i Gjeneralit, a fine-sand beach on the Albanian Riviera near Palasë, known for clear water and the green hills that surround it. It is quieter than the busier stretches of the Albanian coast. The resort sits directly on the sand, with bungalows set among gardens, a restaurant and a terrace. Hiking, swimming and wildlife watching are all possible nearby.
The group is capped at 15 people, and the average age of guests is 30–55. Reviews from past guests single out the food, the staff and the two instructors; the retreat holds a 4.92 rating across 10 reviews, with location, value, teachers, accuracy and communication all scoring 5.00.
