Home › Retreats › 3-Day Deep Restorative Wellness Retreat in the Brecon Beacons, South Wales
United Kingdom · 3 days · From EUR 460
Days at Stables Wellbeing are gently paced. Mornings typically open with a movement session — Pilates or Qigong energy flow — followed by breakfast. Mid-morning and afternoon slots alternate between Yin, Restorative and Yoga Nidra practices, a creative workshop, and optional guided walks with Veronica and Phil across the six-acre grounds and into the surrounding Brecon Beacons countryside. Evenings slow right down: sound baths, guided meditation and breathwork, then dinner, then often the firepit at the woodland roundhouse for storytelling and stargazing.
The programme is explicitly designed for beginners. Nothing here demands prior experience — the yoga styles taught are the slow, supported ones (Yin, Restorative, Yoga Nidra), and the Pilates and Qigong are taught at a level that works for people who have never done either. If you already practise, you'll still get a lot from Gemma's teaching, but this isn't a strong-flow or handstand retreat.
What separates this from a generic yoga weekend is the venue itself. Stables Wellbeing sits on six acres of private land that includes ancient medieval chapel ruins, woodland trails and a natural pond, plus a sunken dell for sitting quietly and a woodland roundhouse with a firepit. There's an infrared sauna and a meditation garden on site. It's the kind of place where you can wander off between sessions and actually be alone, which matters when the point of the trip is rest.
The food is fully plant-based and included — all breakfasts, lunches and dinners, plus tea, coffee and water. Ingredients are locally sourced and organic where possible. Vegetarian and vegan diets are catered for as standard; other dietary requirements can be arranged with advance notice, so flag them at booking.
Accommodation is in a beautifully renovated barn with underfloor heating and ensuite rooms. Room options run from private suites to same-sex shared rooms, so the price varies by what you pick. Rooms are allocated per booking rather than sold off a fixed list, and upgrades are available.
Optional extras can be added: massage, reflexology, Reiki and facials are all bookable at additional cost. If you're arriving by public transport, pickup and drop-off at Ammanford station is complimentary. Dates are arranged to suit you — you tell them your ideal window and they confirm availability — which means it works as a solo reset, a trip with a friend, or a small group booking.
