Vietnam · 3 days · From USD 405
The retreat is built around sound healing with Tibetan singing bowls, guided by Quynh Duong, who trained in Natural Sound Healing and Sound Planetarium Therapy. Each day includes a sound bath or sound meditation, combined with gentle yoga and breathing work. You don't need any experience to take part—sessions are about receiving the sound and relaxing into it rather than performing poses. The schedule has a proper rhythm: after the morning class, there's time to rest, read, walk, or sleep in, which is unusual for a three-day retreat and feels genuinely restorative.
Beyond the sessions, the retreat weaves in local culture in a hands-on way. One afternoon you'll join a group activity—baking cookies is on the sample program—and there's a cooking or exploring excursion. A highlight is the chance to try making ginger ale or roasting coffee beans in the valley. Dalat is famous for its coffee, and this kind of activity brings you into the local life rather than keeping you inside the retreat walls.
The accommodation is a home, not a hotel. The apartment has wooden furniture and a modern feel, with a large shared kitchen and a Green Yard out front where morning yoga happens. The terrace is set up for evening talks, and there's free time built into the program each afternoon so you can take walks in the pine forest or simply sit with a cup of tea. With only two nights, you won't be on holiday for long, but the quiet setting and the personal attention from Quynh make it feel far away from daily life.
